Rob Story
Parasite=寄生虫 Limited edition
"Parasite." 18" x 24" - 3 color. I liken man to a parasite that is draining the host (the Earth) of the blood that he lives on (various issues can be applied here). Ironically, the parasite will eventually kill the host and thus himself. A strange sort of suicide. I departed from my usual style a bit and went with a more universal iconographic approach.
I also used the Japanese characters for the word parasite. The yellow and black recall a kind-of warning type feeling and of course the icon of the man (raceless and ageless) has been altered to visualize the spirit of man as the parasite. Simple and graphic, it seems to say what I wanted to say.
